GANGSTA GRANNY MOVIE V.S BOOK!

I personally liked the movie better because It was more interesting then the book. And we spent a lot of time reading the book and some of the sentences were sometimes hard to understand. And with the movie it was really easy to understand. But I still enjoyed the book. But I still really liked the movie best.

On week seven of term four the year six class went on their E.O.T.C week.

So here is what I wrote about out fun filled week of activity's.

Monday

On Monday the first thing we did was did our mini master chef.
I was in a group with Ellie and Seth. I really enjoyed working with the both of them cause I really thought we work well as a group. When we got to the school hall we had tables each to work on.
Our group made spaghetti sandwiches with ham,cheese and spaghetti. After we all helped make our spaghetti sandwiches we all worked as a team to make our smoothie.And our recipe was Banana,Strawberries,Blueberries,Boysenberries and Raspberries. Then we tipped in rice milk to finish our smoothie off.

Tuesday

Tuesday we went to the rec center to have some team building activity's half of the year six's went to rock climbing first and the other half did some activity's. We played duck duck goose, then we played a team building activity where he all had to hold hands and try to untangle our self's from each other. It was really hard but I still really enjoyed it.Then we went rock climbing. Rock climbing was my favorite activity we did in E.O.T.C week. Because I love to challenge myself in many things like rock climbing.

Wednesday

Wednesday we went to devils bridge to go abseiling I really enjoyed abseiling and I went to go three times. I didn't really mind going down because I have already been abseiling, but it was still challenging and hard but still great fun. When we came back to school it was boiling hot. We came to do some clay art.
I made a little scene of the wet lands because that was the theme.

On Thursday we went to the aquatic center to do some survival skills. We did some skills on what to do when something goes wrong when your at the open sea. It was WAY fun and after doing our survival skills we got a half an hour of free play. Once everyone was changed into their clothes we went outside to get out subway. We got six inch sandwich with our chosen ingredient in it. We also had a chose to get a cookie or fruit. When everyone had their lunch we heading to steam punk. When we went in we went into the infinity portal. It was really awesome to see all the colorful lights everywhere. When we all had our tern in the infinity portal we went out side to make some steam punk themed sculpture's  made out of different used things.

Keeping our self safe

Zoe and Aroha were walking from the dairy eating ice creams. Up ahead of them they noticed an unfamiliar car parked at the side of the road. As they approach, a woman winds down the window and calls the girls over. Reluctantly they approached the car. "Hi girls. How are you today?" said the lady "Were fine thanks", the girls replied. "They look like yummy ice creams".Your Mum just called me to come and pick you up because she isn't  felling well." Zoe and Aroha looked at each other and decided. Zoe and Aroha decided and replied with confident voices " NO thanks we were asked to walk home,but thanks for asking. The lady kept on insisting but the girls still said no. And Zoe and Aroha walked away from the lady's car. While the girls walked back home they saw the lady in her car driving around the block where they were walking. The girls started to sprint away and they still saw the site of her, They ran to Zoe's house where her Mum was. Aroha screamed. And Zoe's Mum instantly herd the loud commotion outside, she opened the door with shock. "What going on" Zoe's Mum said in a fright. And Zoe told her Mum everything that happened.

There his parents made an offering to show that he belonged to the Lord. For an offering Joseph bought two young pigeons to place upon the altar of the Temple.

Term Three Highlights

My highlights for this term is doing Singing Cup because I won the year six trophy. Singing Cup was also a challenge because I had to sing in front of everyone in the school, but I still enjoyed it. 

Another highlight was having Miss Huls as my teacher because we do A LOT of cool art and do a lot of singing as a class. 

A challenge for me is meeting new people and getting to know them because I am really shy and I have trouble getting to know people. Next term I am excited about working on Elite Special Forces of the Learner Licenses.

The thing that I have learnt more about this term is that so many people in the senior hubs have so many talents like singing, playing guitar, drums and so many other things.

Why We Should Be Thankful.

Have you ever noticed that kids are normally upset because they either don’t get what they want or lost there high score on there video game. But just think about the poor people they only have one whole outfit and hardly eat food or drink water. Not only they have to earn food but it's not that simple, it not like getting a job and getting loads of money every hour. They have to find food. They have to swim around garbage in hopes they will find food that will nourish them.

Money can’t buy happiness love or joy.

Its not about how rich you are Its about your happiness your life and how you live. Its what's in your heart that counts, and money is certainly not part of it.

Book Review:

53-Storey Tree-House

This book I have been reading is nonfiction.

This book has adventure humor and it is based on two boys named  Andy and Terry.

This story 53-Storey Tree House is written by Andy Griffiths and Illustrated by Terry Denton.

The 52-Storey Tree House is about two boys Andy and Terry in this book they have added 13 new storeys in their storehouse and have to solve not only one problem but five.

They find one of their close friends Jill sleeping in her house.

They try everything they could to wake her up but they didn’t succeed. So Andy and terry thought that Jill needed to go to a prince to wake her up just like in the fairy tales so they did. Lucky for them Jill lived near the Vegetable Kingdom were a prince was. But Andy and Terry didn’t think before they went to the kingdom and they got into a sticky situation.  

One of the reason I love reading Andy Griffiths books are because not only are they interesting they also have a great amount of humor in them. They are not sad or boring they really have that humor which I think is the most important key to a children's book.. And I think this book is readable for seven year old's and up.

Why I think we should 
have dogs at school

I think dogs would be helpful at school because dogs could help us with our problems, for example if a child was sad they could pat him/her. Another thing dogs would be help for is down in the junior school some of the kids don't know how to read. They could read to the dog so they get more practice with there reading. When you have a dog in the room you fell warm and happy. And you could pat the dog while working so you don't fell so much stress. Thoughs are some reasons why we should have a dog in our class room. 

Sacrifice

Sacrifice means to let go of something or someone, for example Jesus sacrificed his life so God would forgive the sins.

Sacrificing plays a really huge part in the Bible.

One of the first stories, about Cain and Abel begins with two sacrifices, and the death of Jesus was a sacrifice

A sacrifice is not anything anyone enjoys, but more often we hear the word “sacrifice” everyday.

For example we could sacrifice a cup of coffee every morning to save up money to go to a holiday. But that is different.

Jesus gave his life for us just so God would forgive the people who had sin to God and Jesus.That is why Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice.

Cross Country Moment In Time 

My heart beat fast, I was so close to the finish line.

I sprinted as fast as I could, I stopped and started to walk but I couldn't stand just walking.

I breathed in and out and started to jog, then slowly started to sprint to the finish.

I felt the pressure and ran as fast as I could, at one point I couldn't feel my legs, but I still kept going. 

The thought of getting to the end was crazy and unbelievable. But I did it and felt proud about it.

Highlights of my holiday

In  my holiday I went to Georgias house.
At one thirty Georgia came to my house to pick me up.
When we got to her house the first thing we did was watch youtube videos.
After awhile we went down to the pond near her house with her two sisters.
When we got to the pond it was all frozen.
So we got some rocks and tried to make holes.
After awhile me and Georgia finally made a hole in the ice.
After that we walked to another pond that was frozen.
At the side of the pond there were sticks, so me and Georgia decided to walk on them.
Then we walked over to the river to see if it was frozen, but it wasn't so then we walked back to
Georgias house and made funny lego characters.
After awhile I had to go home.
And that was what I did in the school holiday.

     Charlotte's Web Chapter Summaries

Chapter one

Before breakfast

At the beginning of Charlotte's web.Ferns Dad was outside with an axe and fern asked her mum why her dad was outside with an axe. Her mum replied and said pigs were born last night and he decided to kill them Charlotte an out side and held her dad's arm and refused to let go.

Chapter two

Wilbur

Wilbur was slowly getting bigger and bigger.  Wilbur moved to a different barn. He moved to ferns uncle's barn but fern could still get to see Wilbur because ferns uncle didn't live far from her house.

Chapter three

Escape

In the main part of this chapter is that Wilbur escaped from his barn because he was bored. His friends requested him to escape from his barn so he so he did.

Chapter four

Loneliness

Wilbur was lonely and had no one to play with. But at night someone's voice said " Do u want a friend Wilbur"

The sound of the voice was thin and soft.

Chapter five

Charlotte

In the morning Wilbur was finding out who was asking to be his friend. Adamantly she spoke up. At first Wilbur could not find her and started looking around. But then he finally found her. She was a small spider named Charlotte.

Summer Days

The goose had her gosling and she had seven of them.

She gave her eighth egg to Templeton the rat to keep them.

Chapter seven

Bad News

Wilbur found out he is going to be killed near around Christmas .Then Wilbur started to complain. Wilbur cried and said "but I don't want to die.

Chapter eight

A Talk At Home

In this chapter Fern was talking to her parents in the morning about how the goose had her gosling. She talked about how the goose gave Templeton the eighth egg that did not hatch. Her parents were very concerned about Fern.

Chapter nine

Wilbur's Boast

The main part of this chapter was that Wilbur was inspired to spin a web like Charlotte.

Charlotte smiled. Wilbur tried and tried. Wilbur even called out Templeton for a piece of string. He asked Charlotte if he had done it right, But Charlotte said with a kind smile,"kind of"

Chapter ten

An Explosion

Templeton rotten egg cracked and it let out a stinky smell.

Chapter eleven

The Miracle

Charlotte made a web saying "some pig."

When Mr. Zuckerman worker came out to feed Wilbur,  he saw the sign. He went  to talk to Mr. Zuckerman about what he saw. Mr.Zuckerman was just as shocked.

Chapter twelve

A Meeting

In this chapter Charlotte had a meeting with all of the farm animals.

Charlotte talked about words she could use to weave it in her web.

But they couldn't think of any words.

Charlotte asked Templeton to go to the dump and go and find some magazines clippings

Chapter thirteen

Good Progress  

When Charlotte was looking for a word in the books she saw the word terrific.

So she decided she would weaved the word terrific in her web.

Chapter fourteen

Dr.Dorian

In this chapter was that Mrs.Arable went to Dr.Dorian office to talk about Fern. Mrs.Arable told Dr.Dorian  about how weird Fern was acting.

Chapter fifteen

The Crickets

It was late summer and Wilbur was excited to go to the country fair. But Charlotte was not sure if she could go with Wilbur. She said that she would be busy laying her eggs.

Chapter sixteen

Off to the fair

It was time to go to the fair and when they were about to go Wilbur fainted because he heard Mr.Arable talking about bacon and ham.

Chapter seventeen

Uncle

When they got to the fair Wilbur saw a gig named Uncle, he was much more bigger than Wilbur. Wilbur was very worried about his competition.

The cool of the evening

In this chapter Templeton got another interesting word for Charlotte to weave in her web. The word was  -HUMBLE. 

Chapter nineteen

The Egg Sac

Charlotte made a egg sac with 514 eggs in it.

But while that was happening the huge pig Uncle won the blue ribbon, but Wilbur got an even special prize.

Chapter twenty

The Hour Of Triumph

While they were up the stage Wilbur got a shiny medal.

While that was happening Charlotte new that Wilbur was going to live

Chapter twenty one

Last Day

When Fern was out enjoying her time Wilbur found out that Charlotte was going to die.

Wilbur tried to help her but he couldn't.

So Charlotte explained to him that this would happen.

Charlotte told him to take good care of her egg sac.

Chapter twenty two

A Warm Wind

In this last chapter Charlotte's babies all hatched and some of the floated away in the warm wind except for the three of the spiders. And Wilbur had a lovely life on the Zuckerman farm with three of Charlotte's children. But he never forgot how she saved his life.
